Hi! I have installed Redhat 9 and Bind 9.2 rpm package. Package installation went well and 100% completion message received, but couldn't find named.conf file at all in the entire system. Can anyone help please.
After installation, on executing command "rpm -qa | grep -i bind" i could get
Infact i tried with find -name name* to locate files in the entire system. Nowhere i could find named.conf file. Whereas on giving the command "rpm -qa | grep -i bind" i could get the result as
Using the bind-utils created zonefile which lead to generate named.conf file also. Editted to my requirement and service started. Many thanks to you both and thanks for the reference documentations.
