Best distro for a Render Farm

I am working with the school's Computer Science teacher, and we are on an extremely tight budget, we have recycled several computers and are now wondering if there is any type of Live-CD distro of Linux that could manage a Render Farm. In case you don't know a render farm is a group of computers working in Tandem to render scenes of a CG, etc by using their combined powers.
