BeOS

Any BeOS fans in here?
I have a couple of questions.

Is Be based off of a Unix kernel?

Why is the OS so bloody fast? And what keeps Linux from being as fast as Be?

Does anyone know any really good forums that focus on BeOS?

Well, all I can say is I like BeOS! It rips cd's very fast. But I like other things about it, I just can't think of anything at the moment.

Weblion,
Now I see why some of your posts are a little bitter towards linux... BeOS is a little simpler I think, and also very stable, but fast as hell!
Linux is still my fave though, based on reasons of resource availability, scalability, and power. The user community rulez too, as well as the OpenSource root behind it.
