Become a Linux Developer
Hi,
I'm looking for people who'd like to become a part of BlackDog64 Linux developers team. The project is in a every early stadium as I had no time to work on it during the last 2 months due to moving to another country. But now i'm ready to go but still need few people to help me. BlackDog64 is now a BlueWhite64 fork and stays fully compatible with it. the goal is to make a user-firendly Slack/BW64 distro, with easy installation process and as much newest software as possible installed out-of-box. I want to combine .TGZ safety and stability with OpenSUSE/Ubuntu easyness & usability. I'm looking for people to help me with the development and to manage the slacky.info repository. If you'd like to join me please email me on wojciech.orzewski@gmail.com |
No offense... but why another slackware port? The installation of slackware is no more complicated than any other distro install process. The only difference is that slackware uses ncurses menus instead of a stripped down x (damn anaconda installer). So that leaves only packages. You would be better off supplying a half os install package where you only manage the packages you have to and make it designed to install on top of bluewhite.... But then I guess that's all you would be doing anyway is mirroring the 64 bit repository of bluewhite...

no worries it's not easy to offend me at all :)
C, it is in very early stadium and for now it's a fork of BlueWhite64 but the goal is to develop it to a completely independent and original distro... But u've to start with something... |
