bash: make: command not found
 
when i type make in konsole i get the message bash: make: command not found. what the heck is wrong?

P.S. im using mandrake 8.1

when are you typing make and what program are you trying to use it with.. ?? maybe the program doesn't call for a make command ??

with a soundblaster audigy driver. if the file didnt have a make file in it then it would not say command not found. right?

presumably you've just not got make installed. use the Software Manager to install teh make package, and all its dependencies

where do i download the make package?

i said "use software manager" or cal it using rpmdrake from a console
