Backup WinXP to Linux server?

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a linux newbie, so please excuse my ignorance...

I've setup one of my computers as a Linux Server. I have to keep windows on one of my machines for work. I'm trying to backup my data on the widows machine (c:\documents and settings\...) to the linux box.

I'd like the backup to run a couple of times a week (cron job), and only transfer the files that have been changed/new.

Right now, I am considering using the following method.

Samba mount
rsync data

Is this the best way to perform such a backup - or should I do it in another way?

I personally have tried that way, and I would say "go for it". Seriously, I used to do it for one of the computers at job, and everything would go just fine
