awstats ftpd

Hi all

I'm using awstats and vsftpd on FC2

I cant seem to find vsftpd.log i'm asuming that its ok to create the file

#xferlog_file=/var/log/vsftpd.log
which is in /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

Or is it this log file /var/log/xferlog ???

how do i check the server log file format

i'm following this page
http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/...s_faq.html#FTP

And what does it mean by this
If your FTP log file format looks good, copy config file "awstats.model.conf" to "awstats.ftp.conf".

create the same file and rename ?? and add the code to it ?? i'm abit lost on this one.

any one else know of a good tutorial or can explain it please

TT

Can any one help me please

I create my awstats.ftp.conf file and edited the file to what i had to edit

reading from this site
http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/...s_faq.html#FTP

My error is which is on the top of my page
Never updated (See 'Build/Update' on awstats_setup.html page)

do you have to run

./configure.pl Next because all i did is rename the file to awstats.ftp.my_domain.conf

then awstats_updateall.pl

Any tips please..

TT
