Automate FTP

I did a search and i didn't find anything similar, and not sure if this is the right place, but i'm hoping someone will have the answer.

I'm trying to automate an ftp script to send to various servers (rs001, rs002, rs003) to send a file.

Here's what i have so far..

Stores="001 002 003"

for store in ${Stores}
do
ftp rs${store} << ENDFTP
send file1
bye
ENDFTP
done
