auto login ~ how to disable?


running mandrake and i need to know how to disable the autologin feature for kdm. i have spent about 2 hrs looking through all the user config stuff and i cant find it... any advice?>

Well, im using a different distro (SuSE 7.3) so this may be a different menu layout. but open the kde menu, then go to
Preferences->System->Login Manager.

Theprogram will load.. then do the following:
Click on the the "Convenience" tab up the top, and then click to take the little cross out of the "Enable auto login" field.

Then click apply, next time you log back in, it should hopefully ask you for a passsword etc.

Open Mandrake Control Center, select Boot, then select Boot Config.

What you are looking for is towards the bottom.

if you want a low level solution, edit /etc/sysconfig/autologin
