Question Auto-login (KDE) - will not auto-login without monitor attached

I'm trying to auto-login (KDE) to my computer, which works fine if I have my monitor connected.

One I disconnect my monitor it never loads KDE and just sits there waiting for me to type in my username/password in the terminal (no KDM).

Is there a way to get around this? I need to auto-login with no monitor attached.

It should come as no suprise that you can't autologin to kde without a monitor.

Kde is a graphical environment, which means it needs a monitor to display.

Which means that the graphics card needs to communicate with that monitor to display.

Which means that without a monitor to display what the graphics cards sends to it, it won't autologin.

Which means that you need to do some google research on how to autologin to runlevel 3.

Thanks for the recommendation.

The odd thing is when I built this same computer with XFCE auto-logging in with no monitor is no problem at all.
