authentication failed new system

I just installed libranet on my pc. When i start it up, it asks for a root password, then a user password. When i enter the passwords, it says authentication failed.

Few possibilities:
a) you can't remember which passwords you provided
and the system is right.
b) during install you had an English keyboard map, but
now are using a localised version. Thus the system is
right, too :)
c) libranet's installation routines suck.

Cheers,
Tink

Try booting into single user mode or off of a rescue CD and resetting the root password. There are several threads here that describe exactly how to do this.
