atl1c 0000:05:00.0: Unable to allocate MSI interrupt Error: -38

I started getting this. I think it comes from the Ethernet jack, which I use only a few times a year. Is there a table of MSI interrupt errors somewhere?

Well, it appears this was a common issue in 2009-2013. Seems mostly related to Qualcomm Atheros AR81 Family LAN Driver. Unable to assign an IRQ after hibernation, sleep, some having issues access NFS etc. The most solid resolution appears to be: ditch the card and replace it with another make for a desktop, trade off the laptop, or live with it.

It's not so much a problem as a question: is there a table of MSI errors? Usually error reports come with a strerror to translate the number. I stopped loading this chip's driver, which stopped the error, and foresee no problem until I try to Ether-connect, which may never happen.
