Ask: Centos stuck at Found volume group "VolGroup00" using metadata type lvm2
Hi All,
Pardon me, but i've face another issue, on my friend server using Windows 2008 Server R2,in the hypervm got an Os guest which installed centos for web server.
The problem i've just now is the centos stuck at
"Red hat nash version 5.1.19.6 starting
Reading all physical volume, this may take a while
Found volume group "VolGroup00" using metadata as
type lvm2
2 logical volumes in volume group "VolGroup00" now active"
I'm not the one who configure it, because the old IT just left so, my friend ask my help about this. the weird thing is i can still access the web from the web server centos locally via IP address.
Hi, thanks a lot for your reply, from what I've seen there's
no any snapshot. Would you please inform me for what I happened & any advice from you, i will really appreciate.

If you can ping the machine, try to SSH into it:
$ ssh username@virtual-ip
then run
$ dmesg > dmesg.txt
$ fdisk -l > fdisk.txt
And post the output of the text files here.
$ lvm pvs VolGroup00
or equivalent, should give you physical health of lvm physical disks, see: http://linux.die.net/man/8/lvm
At the moment this should be treated as a boot problem, however, so start with dmesg and fdisk -l first.
I've already try to SSH using putty to the virtual ip but it can't work, I'm not really sure why it can't work but the web server store in that centos can still be accessed from using the virtual ip of centos.
Is there possible to find out open port in guest os hyperv because when I ty ssh using default port 22 it cannot work.
