hi,
I once saw a 'real' ascii video on a freinds machine! Does someone know where I can get something like that???

thanks, lars.

They use ansi graphics for that. They used to be really famous on a BBS. I remember seeing a full animation of Ren and Stimpy a long time ago. It looked really cool especially since it was an animation going over a 14k4 modem.

I don't know where you could get any of those but I'm sure there are still loads on the net. Try searching for "bbs ansi animation" or something like that. I'm sure you'll find something.

There's the aalib library to, which covnerts an input video stream into ascii, so you can watch tv over a dialup connection. in silence of course...

You can do it yourself with a TV-card in your computer. You simply need to install aatv which you can get from here: http://n00n.free.fr/aatv/

Much fun with it!
