Apply patch to kernel source

Dear all,

I've a Kernel Source archive, e.g. linux-2.6.32. Furthermore, I've linux_2.6.32-41.89.diff.

How do I have to call patch? In which directory do I have to start patch? Where must the diff be saved? What parameters are necessary?

Have you googled "patching linux kernel"

Try it?

BTW, you start in the top-level directory and call patch.

Ok, then I'll try again. I call patch in the top level directory of the source and specify the diff file...
