Application to fix ISO ?

I've downloaded RH 8. Disc 1 & 3 check out fine with MD5SUM. Disc 2 is another story. D/L'ed it 7 times so far and cannot get a good check sum on it. I find it hard to believe after so many attempts that I can't get a good copy. I've tried at least 5 different mirros. Are their any apps that can look at this ISO and realign it ? It matches the size on the servers. I ran one copy through OnTracks disk verify and it reports that all is well and it can read all the files. Tried an install with it and several others that I burned but as you would expect it craps out with disc 2. Any thoughts or ideas ?

Oh, all I have to work with here is win98 or XP Pro.

I'd suggest trying different methods of obtaining that particular ISO - I mean different FTP clents and/or browsers, and of course if you feel like supporting RedHat with contribution - get the box set, even though the professional version pricing runs in higher figures than WinXP Home Upgrade (well, you can get downladable RedHat edition and add the packages later to match professional version), at the end you'll get reading material to help you out to get started, tech support for limited time and peice of mind that you helped Open Source movement by commiting a financial contribution. :)

Not really a solution, but it could save you the time of making more coasters... rather than burning anything that you suspect to be a bit dodgy, you could do a harddisk install. This way, if the ISOs really are crappy then you're not wasting good blank CDs.

7 times - wow! Either your connection is superfast or you're super patient. In winwoze do you use a download manager? They're wonderful, really.

I used one in Linux as well to download the ISOs for RH 8.0 - I even had to restart the download a couple of times. Methinks it's a good idea if you have something that keeps your connection alive and kicking.

You can tell I'm no expert. Even so, I don't think there are any applications that will fix the ISO. Completing the download should.
