Application to find which modules have been compiled into a kernel image

Hi,

Some years (perhaps 2) ago I came across some distribution, which had a program in its KDE interface, I believe the program itself was a KDE application, it allowed you to see which modules have been compiled into a kernel image, it only worked for 2.4 kernels.

I can't find the program anywhere on the web, perhaps someone knows what it was called, or any similar program?

Thanks

Regards,
Irfan

quite often you'll find a config file with your kernel. this lists each part and if it is compiled into the kernel, as a module or excluded.

For example, my kernel is /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17-10-generic, and there is a config-2.6.17-10-generic file with it.

I know what tool your talking about as I have seen it before as well. It used the .config file that was saved when you compiled. It just emulated the make menuconfig command thats all. If you have a 2.6 kernel and you enabled the option to build .config into the kernel then there is a special file in /proc that contains the information. Othere then that your screwed and need to start over.

hope this helps
