application loaded at startup

Hey all.

I just installed FTP server on my SuSE 10.0. What I need right now is to have the software started up automatically after the computer reboots. This is the line that need to run to have the service running:

/usr/src/proftpd-1.2.10/proftpd -c /etc/proftpd.conf

Where do I put that line of code so it would be executed when the system boots? Thanks for any help.

normally in /etc/rc3.d or /etc/rc5.d

u can check using command runlevel.
just create a script & put those line inside the script & put in /etc/init.d
make sure chmod 755

then cd /etc/rc3.d
# ln -s ../init.d/yourscript S90yourscript
