Unhappy APM laptop help please

I am currently running Linux Mandrake 9.0, and currently have a Toshiba 1905-s301 Satellite laptop. I tried /sbin/modprobe toshiba, and /sbin/modprobe apm and nothing worked, it always thinks the battery is at 0%, and when I type lsmod apm is not a loaded module. Someone please help..

Did you do a laptop install? Apm should be loaded, even if you didn't. I'll give a look and try to post(if I can keep track of where I've posted)
