Apache2 won't start

Hi,
I've installed apache2, mysql, and php on mandrake linux 10.0. When I tried to start apache it gives me this error:
httpd2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name. using 127.0.0.1 for servername

I've tried to add "Servername localhost" to the httpd.conf file and when I restart apache, I did not see the error message anymore, but it still failed to start.

I'm only using php for local testing and development so I don't need to be connected to the internet.

Pls. help...

This is a warning message regarding the FQDN of your host, and Apache should still start. Check the ouput of ps and netstat to verify that it is running.

Apache2 won't start

I've checked to see if HTTPD2 has been running and it wasn't. Also, the test.php that I've created could not be open by the mozilla browser.

The mozilla browser could not recognize the .php extensions and asked me if I wanted to open the file using a different program or to save it.

This is really strange to me because I've installed the whole mandrake 10.0 and added the whole package: php, mysql, apache2 during the installation.

Pls. help...

So the server is able to send the test.php? If yes, then httpd must be running. Also, did you configure Apache to use PHP? What's in your httpd.conf?

Here is my httpd2.conf
