Apache + PHP = Trouble???

Hi.

I am having problems getting Apache to work with PHP.

I get this error message starting apache:

Syntax error on line 204 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'LoadModule', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

When I add the line:

LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so

It may also be worth saying that there are no other modules loaded in the httpd.conf file, this seems a little odd.

Its apache 1.3.29 with PHP 4.3.4 on Redhat 7.3

Cheers,

Richard

Did you compile apache yourself ? Maybe you don't have DSO enabled, (dynamic modules).....are you loading any other modules ?

Hello,

I configured apache with --enable-rule=SHARED_CORE (for DSO) and it still gives the same error!
