ok installed Mandrake 9.0 and selected the apache module to install in setup. Everything worked fine.
Well I couldn't get Frontpage to work with it so I hunted down the fp50 (frontpage extensions) download and followed the instructions on setting it up.
Now my Apache got screwed up. (Didn't do back up) and frontpage extensions still dont work.
I tried downloading Apache 2.0.43 and ran
Code:
./configure \
prefix=/usr/local/src then I did "make" and "make install"
(no clue what i was doing but was following some instructions)
still having issues with webmin.
Question:
There is no important data on the drive so should I do a reinstall of Mandrake 9.0 (which wouldnt take very long) or is there a walk-me-through newbie site I can go step by step with? (I only say step by step so i can see exactly how to do it)
Question
is Apache 1.3.26 safe for my version or should I use 1.3.27 or 2.0.43? (Remember, I need easiest but safest possibility)
Question
Are Frontpage Extensions installed with Mandrake 9 Apache 1.3.26 setup?
Question
How can I tell if Frontpage Ext. are installed?
