Apache and gz files

Hi,

Now here's a simple one (i hope)...

I wanted a local copy of the rute-book...
So, i figured, download the file, (rute.html.gz) copy it in a webdirectory, and go there.

But it doesn't seem to work. I am running Apache 1.3.27

Anyone knows howto do this? (If i read correctly, it's not nessecary to unzip it, apache can handle the gz file.... ????

TIA!

Satch

Why not just unzip it and point your browser
at index.html

Cheers,
