Question Another reselution problem.. =\

Hello!
I have this problem.. And i think it has to do something with the kernel.
I am running Slackware 9 with 2.4.22 kernel..
After i built the kernel everything worked just fine.. BUT!
When i changed to anyother reselution than vga=normal in the lilo.conf file i get a problem.
When i reboot and select to start lilo in the boot menu the screen turns black.. =\
So i have to enter the boot disk and change lilo.conf to use vga=normal.. Then everything works fine again..
But i can't change the reselution in X-window either.. is that because it cant be higher than the console res.?
And i know that my monitor and graphicsboard can handle the res. 1024x768x64 @ 85Hz .. Ive used it before the kernel update..
And i have the Video modes selected in kernel.. =
I have installed the nvidia drivers to.. IA32..
When i start up in normal mode the nvidia logo shows and i get into x-window in 800x600 res. Evything works fine..
What can the problem be?
Thanx for any help!

CONFIG_FB_VGA16=m
CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT=y
CONFIG_FBCON_CFB8=y
CONFIG_FBCON_CFB16=y
CONFIG_FBCON_CFB24=y
CONFIG_FBCON_CFB32=y
CONFIG_FBCON_VGA_PLANES=m
CONFIG_FONT_8x8=y
CONFIG_FONT_8x16=y

Ok.. That was a great deal of commands.. Hmmm..
I will try it!
What does m stand for.. CONFIG_FBCON_VGA_PLANES=m ?
Is y = yes?

they are not commands but options in the .config file for the kernel.
and m stands for module
