Animated JIF's to animated MNG's

Can some one tell me how to convert Animated JIF's to animated MNG's? I have PING2 on SuSE and tried opening the animated jif than saving it as a MNG but when I try loading the new MNG into a browser it wont animate, it just sits there while the browser stays in loading mode.

I don't know anything about conversion, aside from suggesting that you try ImageMagick, but are you sure your browser supports MNG? Apparently MNG support was removed from Mozilla. By the way, do you mean GIF, rather than JIF? (Spelled gif, pronounced "jif")
