Anacron problem
 

Hi folks ,

was trying to schedule some tasks using "ANACRON" on my Linux RedHat 9 . I got the following error :-

service anacron status
anacron dead but subsys locked

When I try to start it anyways it shows me ...

service anacron start
Starting anacron: [ OK ]

But again if I check the status same error it gives . :?:

From suggestions I tried some more things ;

I removed the file called /var/lock/subsys/anacron

And tried the status command but heyy got the same "subsys locked" error . Need your help GURUS .
