Hi,

I'm using Amavis + Postfix + Courier + SASL + MySQL on my server to provide mail service for virtual domains.

Everything is working quite fine, but I cannot setup Spam-Assassin from within Amavis, it just runs in default settings mode I suppose. Does Amavis use an own/bundled Spam-Assassin client instead of the generelly available package? The config file /etc/spamassassin/local.cf gets not interpreted by Amavis-Spamassassin and the spamd-Daemon gets no request upon spam checking (I called i with Parameter -D).

Wher can I set parameters for amavis spamassassin (e.g. score settings, usage of dcc, razor, pyzor, ...)?

The system is Debian Sarge and all the packages were installed using apt-get.

I'm having similar issues where amavis will not read any new rules I create for SA, even if I put them directly in local.cf

I was wondering if you ever found the solution to the issue you were having.

WHen I run amavisd debug-sa , it shows its reading the cf files, but the rules don't actually work.

I know the rule is correct in syntax,etc - the rule works when using spamassassin debug, but not with amavis
