Alsa - questions...
I want to have a play with the Alsa packages. I went to find a kernel module for 2.4.20 on the Alsa site, but they dont have one. I found good instruction's for installing Alsa on the freshrpms page, and what promised to be rpm's for RH8! But alas, the freshrpms server has spat the dummy...
Anyone know where I can find the Alsa kernel module for 2.4.20 (plain)?
Anyone using Alsa? Any tips/comments?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I thought I recognised you!
I am compiling in the pre-empt kernel patch as we speak, then I will try the Alsa install.

Does this mean that we're multi-threading?

Hyper-threading!
Ok, I have the pre-emptive kernel patch applied to 2.4.20 (along with the Win4Lin patch) and it rocks! The system response at the desktop is noticably faster! Oh yeah!
I have a few RL things to take care of, then I'll attempt the Alsa install. I have printed out the Creative PCI 128 installation details, looks straight forward.
Thanks again.
