Aliases

Every time I make an alias, it always disappears as soon as I log out. When I log back in, it's gone. Is there a way to save the one's I make?

Add any alias that you want saved to your .profile file in your home directory. If you want all users to use the aliases, such as 'rm -i' ( I can't stand that ), then you can put it in the /etc/profile file.
