Again about dual-booting...


I have succeeded in putting Mandrake on my experimental comp with very little effort, as it detected windows that was already there (first time I installed windows on that machine, just to try db...), and they both booted fine from LILO.
They were on same HD

Now I think I will place Linux on it's own HD on our giga machine.

Offcourse it found Windows on 1 hd only, but when it's on it's own, will it detect windows and add it on LILO boot menu?

yes. Don't forget to still install your boot manager on the MBR of /dev/hda though. You might wait until you actually have a problem before posting on General - this kind of hand-holding is generally done in Newbie.
