after reboot computer time is changed

After reboot, the computer time is changed.
# date
Mon Mar 16 05:30:07 EDT 2009

Before reboot, the computer time is
# date
Mon Mar 16 09:30:07 EDT 2009

How to make the computer time the same after reboot?

# uname -a
Linux pc1 #1 SMP Wed Nov 21 15:12:59 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

After reboot, the computer time is changed.
If you are dual-booting with windows, then remember that windows deals with time very differently from linux.

Search LQ for windows linux hwclock and you'll find a lot of links.

Here's a good explanation (from tldp) of how linux manages time, and why it is different from windows:
