Question affect change of time zone on active process


hi all,
i facing problem that if i change time zone of system ,it is not reflecting in active process..

i m using time() function to get time then convert it into tm struct by localtime() function...
it is in loop...

if in between of execution i change the time zone of system , but it will not reflect in application...

is change of time zone of system will reflect in active process or not ?

plz do help ....
