ADSL & Mandrake
When I Installed Mandrake it asked whether I wanted to add , Modem , Network Card , ASDL .
I didn't have ADSL Then but I Do .
And I Can't Find any application that asks whether I want to install DSL or not .
I tried 'linuxconfig' then 'Prepherials' but It Only asked for Modem and Printer and Isa Bus .
Where to add My New DSL

I told Mandrake that I Had a ADSL and after 3 clicks
It showed me net statistics with 2 tabs one for my ethernet and the other for my ppp0 connection supposedly that's the ADSL.
But Nothing is working it was unable to connect to the internet
When I installed My "Conexant" ADSL on Windows at first it makes load noise like modem to check connection then it needs a lot of Protocol setup Option to start .
Nothing of all this is happening in Mandrake .
Sorry for the trouble but I can't even find a trail to start from .
PLEASE HELP
Thank You

Is this that unreliable son of a bitch (USB) modem???
Well, the question is not "Doesn't anyone know anything about ADSL's ????" rather "Doesn't anybody know anything about conexant USB xDSL modem ????"
It is different stories, I can tell you anything about ADSL, but I am silent to discuss USB "modem" issues, I was trying to help another member here with his USB Alcatel ADSL "modem", but my attempts failed, I just don't have a USB xDSL modem any longer.
I am pretty sure if you plugin "conexant" into search field here you'll get some info. Good luck

The best is buy the ethernet ADSL modem and router combo box, or seperately (if you have money) and you don't need to configure anything
When I subsribed the ADSL, the serivce provider gave me the USB modem. So I bought a (ethernet modem + 4 port router) combo so that I could also share the internet.

Just got mine going...
My DSL uses a Linsys USB100TX router. In the dialog in Mandrake 9.0 where you specify how to connect to the internet, I used LAN - instead of any of the other choices.
Sorry not more specific, I'm not on my Linux Machine right now.
