Hi guys: i have Addblock but latley i've been confronted with this site firstrawsports where i watch alot of sports, with a page telling me to desable adblock i hate those adds, since clickling on the x (exit) and some times start to download stuff, use not to be like that before in Firefox or Chrome, since the adblockplus or other use to block the adds and still let us stream safely.
Today i came across these set of instructions but i need some guidance on how to put them to use, thanks.
There are many ways around whatever warnings they put to deter adblock programs. Often you can just look at the page source code and find the link. Also make sure to use NoScript, as this may help prevent malicious scripts from running.
You can also try privoxy instead.
I recommend against using a hosts file for ad blocking, it is inflexible and not designed for this purpose.
Thanks guys; i was able to do it on Google Chrome, by by adds , those things get me crazy, special on win7. on Mozila i'm yet to see if i can do it,but i only use Firefox on 2 machines due lack of mem otherrwise i would use google chrome cause is faster and less kranky.
i read reditt all the time and have
1)Ad block
2)No script
3)Ghostery
all running and have no problems on firefox and seamonkey
( i do not use chrome much )
BUT
you do NEED to take the time to CONFIGURE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
For "Ad block plus"
click on the "stop sign" and select "filter options"
for USA use the "EasyPrivacy+EasyList" and "Adblock Warning Removal List"
now on you can ( DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ) put a check in " Allow some non-intrusive advertising"
-- that is up to you ---
set the browser to EMPTY cookies and cache on close

Thanks; well since i can't, don't know how to do it in Firefox,i just installed google chrome in all my computers and added Addblockplus and it's much easier than in fire fox,
besides Chrome seems to be faster and snappy, besides i don't like things to copmplicated.
