You might get a better response from people if you didn't specify your boss wanted to copyright all mail outgoing. Hopefully your company isn't in kernel development.

I'm not going to tell you how to do this other than it will take some shell scripting of your postfix bash/configs. Read though http://www.postfix.org/docs.html to start.

People in here thought we are a software company.....
Therefore no one want to help me..
Actually we are a textile manufacture, making table cloths .....
So, any other want to answer me but thought the copyright is for software....I can give you our company name and you can make sure......

Any one want to give me a hand? other answer?

you're perfectly welcome to ask questions like that. There's no relation between using Linux and being an anarchist...

i can't see anythign immediately about directly adding footers, some threads i found mention http://www.pldaniels.com/altermime/

this says why it apparently isn't possible within postfix itself.

I think that would depend on the mail program used, wouldn't it? I doubt all mail programs (I can turn it off in mine AFAIK - kmail) use that. But nonetheless it's a decent idea, especially if there is a central mail client that everyone in the company uses and 1 admin who sets up all the software for all the users.

Cool

I think I understand what is needed here - but I can't tell you how to do it.

Your boss wants a footer to every outgoing email which says "The data contained in, or attached to, this e-mail, may contain confidential information. If you have received it in error you should notify the sender immediately by reply e-mail, delete the message from your system and contact <phone umber><Your IT Security Director> if you need assistance. Please do not copy it for any purpose, or disclose its contents to any other person.

An e-mail response to this address may be subject to interception or monitoring for operational reasons or for lawful business practices.

(c) 2003 <Your Company Name>"

Registered office: <Address>
Company number: <Company Number and country of registration>"

It's fairly standard and, I think, legally required.

YES! YES ! That's what we want to do.
But.... how?
use signature? Does it means I have to make a signature to everyone?
Any better way?

I think that the first link provided by Acid_kewpie is what you are after - I think that it picks up all outgoing mail and adds the footer. I know that the non-GPL version is called mimesweeper - it can also pick out and block attachments based on a rule (for Wondows users it can be set to block .exe files. All the recipient gets is a text attachment saying it has blocked the attachment).

It may be worth contacting Clearswift (www.mimesweeper.com) and see if they know of or can recommend any non-Win products.

I see.....
Thank all of you who have answered my questions...
.
Why I keep asking for other question is I can't go to the linking which
acid_kewpie provided in the past two days.
Now I can go see these documents, seems cool!

I'll try that ASAP
