Anyone else having problems with this? I run a tape drive off the aha1542 and it tends to snafu panic the kernel. I've looked for driver updates, but haven't had any luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

could u post ure error messages here?
look in /var/log/messages,
try to reproduce the problem,
cat /proc/scsi/scsi for devices.

I havent seen a patch for the 2.2.19 tho, and even ppl with a 2.4.4 have probs tho.
Only thing left is for u to check if the system is behaving, by adding boot parameters for both the AHA and the st (scsi tape). These will be passed on to the kernel on bootup.

Post us some error messages and read "man 7 bootparams", and well see what we can do.
