ActiveX for Mozilla ?? (Urgent)


Dear all,

I need to install activex for mozilla firefox version 1.0.7, because I have a web cam and I want to manage it via web interfeace , some things didn't work in the web interface as to see the camera while it survay , when I went to Windows and tried the camera there I found internet explorer needs activex installed , and the camera worked fine there , I have to make it work in linux , Plz help me ,

note :- I'm using gentoo linux
- I'm a beginner so I need a detailed answer

You can download the ActiveX extension for your version of Firefox from here

thanks alot bathory for fast reply , I downloaded the plugin .xpi for my browser , but as i said I'm a beginner , I don't realize many things in Linux ,

so plz let me know what should i do then ?

If you downloaded the .xpi, then open firefox and go to the menu:
File-->Open File and select the .xpi.
firefox will ask you if you want to install it, answer yes and it will be installed. After that restart firefox to apply the extension.
