acer laptop with dualboot and bluetooth issues.
 

im fairly new to linux so i ask patience and step by step if possible.

acer aspire vn7-791
linux mint 17
windows 8.1

almost two years with this laptop with no problem with dual boot windows and MINT, i only kept windows for a few games on steam.

however after an update one day, my access to windows 8.1 from Grub2 has stopped working, i press f12 and access the system settings and tried putting windows on top of the boot order, and shifted it around to no success.

from MINT i can actually access the hard drive and see my folders of the windows partition, which leads me believe i may have not messed up windows, rather than just some mistake on the boot.

ive read several articles, tried updating grub, tried a few other things, and Nothing resembling success. in fact i had trouble and faced a black screen for a few days until some useful guide i found on the web helped me out of that black screen. but after that only Linux mint is accessible, even though GRUB2 does Show the windows option, i hit enter on it and simply blinks black and goes back to Grub screen.

AAAaand, bluetooth does not work.

ive probably read all the bluetooth articles on the forums that i can find that have my laptop model as an example, and it seems there’s no solution... any ideas???

was able to fix the boot using Boot repair, although it took more thatn 3 attempts...

now my only issue is Bluetooth.
