Accessing windows thru Linux

Hello! I have both Linux 8.2 and Windows 2000 on my computer, and I really want to be able to access my Windows files through linux, yet this is proving hard. I have managed to go into my command promp and unlock my C drive, but it is empty! Can anyone please tell me how I can access my files, all help is appreciated. Sorry if I chose the wrong forum.

And don't forget that you need to share the windows files to see them.
