i'm on a switch periode between Microsoft windows XP
AND linux ( red had at the moment, already have tested over 40 linux os )
my problem is, i still got a NTFS partition, but i don't know how to enter it.
i already installed some NTFS readers.
my second problem is, i don't know how to enter my MP3 player ( it's a portable player which i connect trough usb. )
My NTFS partition is under : hda1
My Mp3 player is under : sda1
now my second question is, what are the best replacement programs for
Macromedia flash mx ?
and Dreamweaver?
( maybe also a supstituite for adobe photo shop? , and a 3D design program which allows me to create motion with it also, example: swift 3D )
can any one help me out?
i realy need this so i can get rid of my Windows XP
for things like portable mp3 players its probably best to have a 2.6 kernel.
i dont have an mp3 player, but it seems the 2.6 series of kernels has better support than the old 2.4 kernels (like redhat 9 uses) ( i assume ur running redhat 9 ?)
anyway...... Plug in your MPŁ player. open a command line prombp and enter these commands.
Code:
su -
[enter root password]
lsusb
lsmod
lspci
cat /proc/pci
and tell us everything it says. this will give us the info we need to hepl you.
[root@localhost root]# lsusb
