Able to print kde but not Fluxbox

I am able to print in KDE configured with apsfilter. But while i use fluxbox i was unable to print and i was told that fluxbox doesnt support?

ERROR: A print error occured. Error message received from system:

Unable to start child print process. The KDE print server (kdeprintd) could not be contacted. Check that this server is running.

And if i use mozilla to print the page i wasnt able to choose the printer ?

well naturally... if you read the error message it says it can't find the kde print server. if you are not in kde then the kde print server is not going to be running. the error messages are there for a reason, and usually prety logical. you should check the printing howto for info on how to get your printer going in the real world (i.e. not kde's over the top wizardry). i don't know what basic printer sysetms slackware comes with however, i set mine up with mandrakes printerdrake, which is the wimpy way aswell!
