A question about downloading at the CLI

Hi,

I'm currently in the process of planning the build of a webserver/file server for myself and had a quick question about downloading from the Internet at the command line interface.

Well, is it possible? and if so how would I generally go about doing it? I don't really plan to use X on my server and will be doing most of the maintenance via ssh. I plan on using Fedora Core 5 for the build.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Rookie.

there are a few applications that do cli downloading, the two that come to mind are wget and curl. Bot work as simply as:
Code:
wget http://foo.com/foobar.tar.gz
