A linux distribution that can boot from USB?

Hi,

I'm a linux newbie. My laptop only has a USB working. Everything is down. Hence, i'm wondering if there's any linux which can boot from a MP3 player?

Thanks in advance!

depends what the mp3 player is... there are many types that work in many ways. if it works over usb as a generic storage device, then it's wholly posibly to run almost any distro from it. personally i would check damnsmalllinux for a small installation and knoppix for a more fuly featured one.

My mp3 is a NOMAD Muvo2 1.5GB from Creative.

Is there any distro which can boot from this mp3 player?
