Okay, here we go, A few questions...
1.) I downloaded the HardDrake packages from linux-mandrake.org Hoping for it to detect my ethernet card so i can connect to the 'net thorugh my proxy, It doesn't seem to work right, and the one package has a dependancy problem, Do I need 7.2 to run harddrake? I have 6.1(6.5 Commercially) 2.) Question 2, Uhm.. Linux will detect and mount the partitioned HD that it's on(the Fat partition of it, Linux is on my D drive), but it won't detect my C: Drive at all, Why not? 3.) Sound Card Configuration under Setup, It detects my Sound Card.. sorta, It doesn't support it, but it detects it, and gives me a version that isn't actually my sound card driver.. What should I do? Thank you in advance to anyone who will give their time to help me, I am new to Linux, heh :) |
your problems
Not sure about harddrake, but if it has a "package dependency" .. can't you get the package that its dependent upon and install that first?
Your "C:" is.. I assume.. the partition on which you have Windows installed. What does the partiton structure look like on your harddisk(s): fdisk -l /dev/hda What version of sound card do you have? You may want to look at http://www.alsa-project.org for some more drivers for sound cards. |
