64 Bit Linux, opinions wanted

I'm going to buy an athlon 64 3500+ and an MSI socket 939 mobo later today and was debating putting linux on it. I downloaded both suse 9.2 64bit and fc3 64 bit last night for dvd.

Anybody have any opinions on how well it works/doesn't work? Anything I should watch out for?

(btw the mobo is a new MSI Neo K8N 2 socket 939 board, 1gb ram, radeon x800pro vid card, audigy2 sound, 2 sata drives, dvd rom and a dvd burner)

Thanks,

Doug

Linux works just fine on my x86_64 machine. I'm using Gentoo myself, but I see no good reason why the other distributions wouldn't be just as good.

I've used Mandrake, SuSE, and Gentoo all on a 64-bit system.

I like gentoo the best, but it's hard to get setup for the first time. If you are new to it all, use SuSE. It worked perfectly for me out of the box.

I'm useing Fedora Core 3 x86_64

I'm haveing some Freeze problems (that I don't have in Windows), but I haven't get to it yet, don't know if is a HW or SW problem, no new kernel had helped me and I'm certain is not the Nvidia drivers either, it's pretty random, and I don't have any log messages that could give me a clue.
