And why have you just replaced "Linux" with "Ubuntu" in all these articles?? That's really weird / bad / dumb / irresponsible to arbitrarily force all discussions about Linux to supposedly be specifically about Ubuntu when they clearly aren't.

But that wouldn't have allowed me to say how useless the information contained in those articles is. There might, just might, have been a purpose for this if it had been clear that the information was aimed a newbies (like putting this in the newbie forum rather than under general and with a note to that end in the post), but most of the people seeing this here will be of a level of expertise such that they think that it is pathetic.
