2016 was the Best Year for Linux

Hi,

2016 was the Best Year for Linux
Quote:
2016 was unequivocally Linux’s best year yet. It’s on more devices than ever before and more secure than ever before. Were there embarrassing moments along the way? Yes, I kept reasonably close to the news and watched a few of these evolve and get patched as quickly as they were found.
I’d also like to predict that 2017 will end being Linux’s best year yet. And I’ll even go one year further than other folks making predictions and say that 2018 will top them all.
Have fun & enjoy!

This is great news, though it is not surprising.

I am sure, we will keep going like this. Open Source is on the go and with the latest Windows 10 problems (and the Mac OS prices), people are looking for a new home, which Linux is just providing.

Just a couple years ago, I would probably have never thought, I'd say that, but moving to Linux was the best thing I did for years and up to this day, I am not missing Windows in any way. I think the toughest part is trying it out and getting used to it... Live Disks have made the try out part easier and the latest Desktop Environments are making transition also easy.

What more to say than "Go Linux!"...
