The new kernel supports non ide-scsi burners. If you want to check it out you need a newer version of cdrecord and I had to tell xcdroast manually to use /dev/hdc as the device.

hm.. i have a problem with this new kernel and my mouse.
suddenly it moves a lot less smooth and the wheel no longer
works.

also, in games which use hardware acceleration (i have no
other games... so i can not say if it happens there too), i
notice that keys i press are lagged. when i press a key
the action happens late, as if lagged.

since settings for keyboard and mouse both are located
in /etc/X11/XF86Config for me, could it be that that file
is no longer processed as before?

(i did however get alsa, my tv-card (bttv) and the nvidia kernel
working properly and quite easily)

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I got alsa up and running, but alsamixer does not work any more. When I try it say's somthing like

mixer 0#/0#, no such file or directory

(as I'm in windows right now , i'm not to sure that's the exact message, but it's somthing like that.)

Any ideas any one.
