2.6 kernel released?

Does anyone have any idea when a stable version of the 2.6 kernel is going to be released? They're in test7 at the moment....

I've been running with test 7 for a good few days now, and I think I'll stick with it...

Nobody knows these types of questions til it is released. Linus Torvalds has the final say and probably doesn't even know the exact date yet.

Thats whats the difference between windows and linux
They wont release 2.6 unlease they r pritty sure that it has no major bugs

And AFAIk linux has moved it into next mode(where programers concentrate on making the kernel more stable and stop adding new features into in)
