2.6.0 with framebuffer enabled => screen "scrambled"

hi!

i compiled my 2.6.0 with framebuffer enabled.
i selected the matrox g200 driver as well as vesa support to be compiled in, and also enabled framebuffer console support without built-in fonts.
in particular, i tried many kernel-configurations in association with framebuffer.
all i got was a scrambled screen all the time (starting at bootup until shutdown)

i tried it with 2.4.23, because i thought it could depend on red hat 9, but it worked with 2.4.23 very well.

has anybody got similar problems?

thanks in advance

meks.

which fb driver are you actually using? the matrox one or just plain vesa? it's likely that it's the matrox one. try building without it, and just use vesa instead.
